- A Persian Bronze Lamp
- bronze
- Height 7 1/2 in. 19 cm.
with pentagonal base, tapering hexagonal stem engraved on each side with foliate medallions, and voluted double-wickbody engraved on the sides with a stalking animal and on the top with a Kufic inscription, the handle in the form of an oblong ring surmounted by a bird.

Condition
Generally good. There are two small holes through the lower base and one at the top, and the tips of the nozzles are chipped. The surface is somewhat worn, and especially worn on the sides of the body, as if often held there. The separately-made handle and base appear to be re-attached but look as if they belong. The bird's tail feathers are fragmentary.
