- An Egyptian Bronze Head of a Cat

- Height 2 in. 5.1 cm.
with incised whiskers and pierced and incised ears, the top of the head molded and engraved in relief with a scarab, the hollow eyes once inlaid.

Inlaid eyes missing as described, surface slightly worn overall yet engraved details have retained some crispness especially on body of scarab, spots of possible bronze disease around neck.

Mounted on a translucent white marble base finely inked in front in capital letters, "Head from a case for mummied cat." The number 2667 inscribed in pencil on the underside.
