Description

  • Four Bronze Figures, Roman Imperial
  • Bronze
  • Heights 4 1/4 , 4, 3 3/4 , and 5 5/8 in. 10.8, 10.2, 9.5, and 14.3 cm.
comprising a herm of Priapos with long triangular beard, a figure of Zeus standing with the weight on his left leg and his left arm raised, and wearing a chlamys, a figure of Herakles holding the Apples of the Hesperides in his left hand, and a figure of a Lar stepping forward onto the left foot, and wearing boots, diadem, and short tunic tied at the waist.

Condition

Herm missing phallus; Zeus missing both feet and proper right hand, left arm bent; Herakles missing proper left foot and proper right hand; Lar missing both hands and front of proper left foot, ends of diadem chipped, surface worn.
