- An Attic Red-figured Column Krater, attributed to the Florence-Boreas Group
- Terracotta
- Height 14 5/8 in. 37.1 cm.
with foot in two degrees, the body painted with a departure scene showing a youth standing at ease beside his horse, flanked by two draped men, the youth holding spears and wearing a chlamys and petasos, the bearded man at left raising his hand in a gesture of farewell, the reverse with a girl standing between two draped youths each holding a staff, festooned lotus buds on the neck in front and on top of the rim, a palmette on top of each handle plate.

Condition
Repaired from several large fragments with in-painting and minor fills along breaklines, most breaks are clean, handles reattached, 3 or 4 very small schips on rim have been filled with painted plaster, small area of restoration on outside of rim, lotus buds and palmettes on top of rim have been carefully re-painted in black, vase appears to have been encrusted over most of its surface and painstakingly cleaned, some areas are still covered with remains of incrustation, in particular lotus bud frieze on neck and tongues on shoulder above main scene, several areas on figural scenes are also lightly encrusted and pitted, areas of misfiring above foot.
