The work is in overall very good condition. There is some slight staining in the lower portion. There is minute paint loss along the right edge. Under UV;

The sitter was the daughter and granddaughter of two of America's preeminent landscape painters. Her father was George Inness, Jr. and her grandfather, George Inness.
