of oval boat form on a wavy oval foot, lightly spot-hammered surface, the sides chased with leaves and the shaped everted border with bunches of grapes and sprays of berries, one end engraved with initial O, the other end engraved 1905

Catalogue Note
According to Gorham's records as reproduced by Larry Pristo in Martelé Gorham's Nouveau Art Silver, p.362, this bowl is listed as being completed on 21 October 1905 by 'Monsen' (Lars Darlin or Pet(t)er A. Monsen) with a making time of thirty-nine hours. The chasing was executed by A. Fogliata and was accomplished in seventy-seven hours. The net factory cost was $187.00.
