wearing a grimacing expression, with a hinged lower jar, tied with cotton twine, roughly carved with an open mouth inserted with wood pegs, high stacked cheek bones painted red, a deep overhanging brow line, and a painted coiffure in (remains of) black pigment.

Condition

Typical wear for its age but overall very good original condition. There a series of hairline cracks radiating from a wood plug in the left cheek. This appear to be an original insert.
