Condition
Overall good original condition. Each of the chairs exhibits signs of use including considerable soiling of the fabric straps, nicks, scratches and minor losses to the vivid red painted frames. The fabric straps show lightening in color as a result of sun exposure, and isolated areas of staining and discoloration consistent with age and use. One of the fabric straps comprising the seat of the side chair has been detached at the seam adjacent to the front stretcher of the frame. These chairs are an extremely rare design by Royére to appear on the market and have a striking presence in person. The works remain in original condition.
