Condition

Overall in good condition. The parchment doors with cracking throughout, with a few areas of minor lifting. This piece would benefit from some light stabilization. The two cabinets with a faint color difference in the parchment, as seen in the catalogue illustration. The gilding to the front of the doors in very good condition. The case with some minor surface scratches and some oxidation to the sabots. With two seams to the upper portion of the case above the doors which appears to have been professionally restored in a sensitive fashion. The interior to one fitted with four mirrored top shelves to the back portion of the case measuring approximately 4 inches in depth. These fitting are for the storage of liquor. The other, which is at present locked and unable to open, with four adjustable large shelves to the interior (the depth of the interior) and with original shelf clips. An elegant pair of large scale works.
