- molded and frosted glass on a bakelite base
Condition
Overall in good condition. This veilleuse comprising three elements. With a few minute flecks and surface scratches consistent with age. The top sculptural fan shaped element in excellent condition with a couple minute surface scratches. The second glass element is rendered with an abstract design, as seen in the catalogue illustration. With two drilled holes, original to the design measuring ¼ inch in diameter. One of the holes with a vertical hairline crack extending to the bottom rim of the element, with a small chip adjacent to the rim of the hole. The base in good condition with scattered surface dirt and appear to retain the original French plug. We would recommend replacing the electrical cord, as it is currently slightly frayed. This piece was not tested for electrical stability.
