Condition

Wool warp. Pile generally good, dense 1/8 inch with scattered areas of moth damage; small scattered rewoven areas--very well executed and difficult to detect; vertical lines of foldwear tension low to knotheads; repaired inverted L-shaped 15" x 12" slit in lower third of field; a 1/2" x 3/4" reweave along left side; 1/3rd of right ivory guard border rewoven. Overcast sides. Ends with original 1/4 inch flatweave and knotted fringes---fringes now slightly uneven, mostly trimmed to 1/4 inch. Fabric backing. Unusually fine weave for a Bidjar rug; dense weave, sound fabric and condition.
