comprising a folio and a card holder, each foot of the card holder stamped MB.
Condition
Overall in good condition. The gilt bronze mounts are finely cast and chased and are consistent with high-quality bronze making of the late 19th century. have retained their original gilding but show traces of dirt. All mounts can be removed and professionally cleaned. The lacquer shows some light scratches and minute losses, now showing gesso as well as some later overpaint restoration. Corners of the folio are worn, exposing the cardboard supports. The folio with original silk liner. The cardholder with flaking and overpaint in some places, the back is a lighter color consistent with sun damage.
