Condition
Original canvas. Apart from a few scattered spots of retouching visible under ultraviolet light in the foreground shore, notably a 5cm stroke above the foreground cliff near the right edge; some fine faint craquelure (visible notably above the mountain in the centre and in the lower right corner, with some spots of paint flaking in the latter case) and slight yellowing of the varnish and light surface dirt, this work is in overall good condition. Held in an elaborate gilt wood and plaster frame.
