The following condition report was kindly provided by Simon Parkes Art Conservation, Inc.: This painting is in beautiful condition. The canvas is unlined, the paint layer is stable and there is no raised cracking. The paint layer seems to be clean and varnished. The thinness in the background in the upper left is intentional by the artist and the condition in the face, hair and hands is excellent. The painting should be hung as is.
