Description

  • ebony, tortoiseshell, marble
  • height: 44 1/4 in.; width: 30 1/4 in.; depth: 14 1/2 in.
  • 112.5 cm; 77 cm; 27 cm
surmounted by a black marble top, the door opening to a mahogany-veneered interior with two removable shelves.

Condition

The marble top with traces of old tape residue and usual light surface scratches and minor chips to edges; some areas of oxidation to the brass inlay to boulle marquetry panels; the gilt-bronze cleaned and retaining original gilding with some oxidation to apron and scrolled acanthus mounts to bottom of stiles; the veneers in good condition with some small chips and nicks to top corners and back edges; thin age cracks to ebony veneers; overall with the usual minor scratches and bruises consistent with age and use.
