after an 18th century model by J.J.Kändler and Peter Reinicke, modelled with a sultan seated on tasseled cushions upon its back with his blackamoor attendant, crossed swords mark in underglaze-blue, incised numeral 1163.

Condition

Trunk and ends of tusks restored; the sultan's sceptre broken away; the blackamoor's elephant hook and one hand restored; end of elephant's tail restored.
