7 leaves, comprising (a) 2 leaves from chapters 7-10 from a commentary on friendship ('de amista') in Italian (perhaps a translation of Cicero's De Amicitia, an important text in Renaissance Italy), 210mm. by 150mm., double column, 38 lines, rubrics in red, space left for initials, trimmed at edge, Italy, c.1400; (b) 2 large leaves from a biblical commentary in Italian, 345mm. by 240mm., double column, 42 lines in a fine humanistic hand, small holes and scrubbed blank on verso, Italy, second half fifteenth century; (c) 3 leaves from a copy of Lactantius' De opificio dei (on the workmanship of God; describing the workings of the world and human body through an early Christian viewpoint), 260mm. by 190mm., single column, 41 lines in a humanistic hand, Italy, fifteenth century; all recovered from bindings and hence somewhat defective
