Description

the two rectangular panels set within a square frame, each side of the frame centered with a carved ruyi-head flanked by two further demi ruyi-heads, the cabriole legs each interrupted by two half ruyi-heads, all above a humpback stretcher at the base, the wood of deep brown patina with characteristic golden grain

Condition

The overall condition is very good. The pieces all appear to be original. One of the stretchers has a section along the inside that has sheared off, but appears to be old as the surface is covered with black lacquer matching the lacquer surface of the entire stand. The underside of one of the pieces forming the top has a bit of glue securing a superficial crack. Light wear from use on the stand's top.
