Condition
STRUCTURE
The canvas has been relined. There is a small spot of lifting paint along the lower edge. There is an extremely light stable craquelure pattern which is only visible upon close inspection. Otherwise the surface is in good overall condition.
ULTRAVIOLET LIGHT
Ultraviolet light reveals an opaque varnish and some old flecked retouchings upper right, above the grapes upper centre, along the upper edge in the left corner, to the left of the plum, in the lower left corner and along the bottom and right edges.
FRAME
Held in a gilt plaster frame.
