Description

- each 73cm. high, 27cm. wide; 2ft.4¼in., 10¼in.
each with a stylised scallopshell cresting applied with scrolls and flowers above a female mask and a cartouche-shaped plate engraved with a male and female figure holding a bunch of grapes and two with a figure in drapery holding a lyre and flute within a ribbed border applied with flowerheads, the lower section with a foliate wrought iron candlearm
Condition
There is a very minor loss to the base of a glass scroll on the cresting. The painted decoration is worn and dirty. They are possibly a matched set as two of them with the figures with a lyre appear to be different. Some very miniscule chips and restorations which are hardly noticeable. In overall good original condition.
