- alabaster, poplar/pine
- one: 86cm.high, one: 84cm. high, both 99cm. wide, 52cm. deep; 2ft. 9¾in., 2ft.9in., 3ft.3in., 1ft.8½in.
each with a shaped top above a foliate and scroll carved frieze on scrolled legs carved with a grotesque mask joined by a leaf carved stretcher on scrolled feet
Condition
Old very minor marks, chips and scratches to the tops and some very minor areas of infill and patches to the tops which are most attractive. Old very minor marks, chips and scratches to the carving and some very minor losses, especially to the leaves on the base of the stretcher. Some hairline cracks generally commensurate with age which do not detract from the piece. Minor section replaced on the carving at the front but this is only visible when viewed from behind. There are also some minor replacements to the carving of the frieze of the other table. In overall good conserved condition and are a most attractive small size.
