Condition
The canvas has been relined. The surface is slightly dirty but otherwise the work is in apparently good overall condition, with areas of strong impasto.
Ultraviolet light reveals some flecked retouchings in the sky upper left. Other pigments fluoresce but are the hand of the artist.
Held in a gilt plaster frame.
