Condition
The sheet is sound and appears to be attached to the backboard in the upper corners and undulates slightly. There is a two centimetre long horizontal repaired tear near the centre of the left edge, below which is a small area of discoloration. There are a few markings across the work, which are likely spots of repaired foxing. There is a diagonal crease in the lower left corner. There is a small protrusion to the figure's hair upper left and there are a few scattered spots of staining and foxing.
Held under glass in a gilt frame with a canvas mount; unexamined out of frame.
