Description

  • tin, paint
One of the marvels of toys is a simple but ingenious design that adds realistic life to an inanimate object. This is referred to by toy collectors as "great action."  This toy features three crewmen in a blue and red boat raised on four lead wheels. The rear wheels joined by an eccentric rod connected to the three rowers who are jointed at the hip. When the boat is pulled forward, the rowers lean forward and push back on the oars giving the illusion that they are propelling the boat through the water.
