Patent model featuring the stern of a boat with large toy proportions. The aft motor features a series of wheels, gears, and rods. It comes with a paper marked "No. 232651 John W. Sadler Construction of Ships;" noted as "patented September 28, 1880," incised on back "Screw-Propelears" [sic]. Attached is a small scrap of paper dated 1878 which appears to be the remnants of a patent receipt.
