Catalogue Note
The important second edition of Mansfield Park, with extensive changes and corrections by the author. These are most noticeable in the technical details, but also comprise changes to the spelling and punctuation (see Gilson, p.59). Gilson comments of the sale-room history of this edition that "very few copies are recorded", and it appears to be relatively uncommon at auction.
