Three engraved maps (of which one is folding) of Boston and its harbor in volume one, portrait of Franklin in volume five, folding table in volume six, 8-page publisher's catalogue in volumes 8, 10, 12; lacking maps in volume 4, lightly browned throughout with occasional marginal spotting and soiling, spotting heavier on title of volume 2 and last 10 leaves of volume 9, tiny tear in outer margin of volume 2, page 367, marginal tear in publisher's catalogue mended in volume 12. 19th-century tan calf, triple-fillet borders, spines richly gilt, gilt-stamped title labels on spines, except vol. 15 in original printed wrappers in a blue half-morocco slipcase with gilt-stamped red leather title label on spine; 7 volumes rebacked with original spines laid down, joints of other volumes cracking.
