Condition
The canvas has been re-lined. There are scattered areas of retouching visible under ultraviolet light, notably to an L-shaped tear at the centre of the sky (approx. 19 by 12cm.). There are scattered areas of retouching, notably to the sky, the water at the left and at the extreme right edge. The varnish has yellowed, and there are areas of scattered light surface dirt and flecks of paint loss, notably along the extreme edges. Held in a decorative, gold-painted moulded plaster and wood frame.
