Condition

Colours: The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate, although the overall tonality is slightly softer in the original work. Condition: This work is in very good condition. There is a faint stretcher mark running parallel to the top edge. There are networks of stable hairline craquelures scattered in places throughout the paint surface, most notably drying cracks to some of the white impasto areas of paint which have resulted in some associated small paint losses. Two spots of paint loss 10 cm. from the top edge and 32 cm. from the left edge. Examination under ultraviolet light reveals one retouch in the upper right corner located 11 cm. from the top edge and 26 cm. from the right edge and some small retouches along the right edge
