  • oklad marked with Cyrillic initials MB, probably for Maksim Belousov (Postnikova-Loseva #2631)

  • oil on panel; gilded silver, enamel, velvet backing
  • 12 1/8 x 10 1/2 in.
  • 30.8 x 26.7 cm
the holy figures' clothing richly chased, the gilded silver oklad applied with colorful shaded cloisonné enamel halos, the background engraved with a sunburst pattern and the border with scrolling ornament
