Condition
The leather with surface scratches, scuffs, some small water marks and discolorations. Some abrasions to corners and edges, not extensive. The silver mount with minor traces of oxidation and surface dirt. In very good overall condition.

The title "Monsieur" referred at the end of the 18th century to Louis XVI's brother, Louis Stanislas Xavier de France, the comte de Provence (1755-1824), who ruled 1814-1824 as Louis XVIII.
