Both had been mounted as lamps and are drilled through the center of the base. One has a restored crack running down the side from the rim to a point approximately 1-in. above the foot, where it curves around the lower body for approximately another 3 inches or so. The same vase has an 3 1/2 x 5 x 6 1/2-in. portion, related to the long crack, broken out at the rim in two pieces and restored back, the break issuing an approximate 4-in haircrack. The damage and repair is oversprayed and overpainted. The other vase is in generally good condition (apart from being drilled).
