Condition

The missing plates are: 405. Watching the Dancers 406. A Hopi Girl 412. The Hopi Maiden 420. A Hopi Man 424. A Walpi Man This portfolio is in generally very good condition. There is occasional foxing and creasing in the margins of the tissue. Light rippling is visible primarily in Plates 403, 404, 408, 409, 411, 419, and 429. There is foxing and light staining on the mats. Plates 401, 404, 410, 416, and 434 are missing their mats, and there are adhesive and paper ply remnants along the upper edge of the mounts. The portfolio case is in generally very good condition, with rubbing at the extremities. The plate list is annotated and marked in an unidentified hand in pencil, and foxing is visible overall.
