flush-mounted, 2 typed credit and title labels and a Time Inc. copyright stamp on the reverse, 1936 (Remembrances, p. 37)
Condition
This early, slightly warm-toned print, on paper with a surface sheen and trimmed to the image, is in generally good condition. It is hinged on the reverse of the thick board mount with two small pieces of linen tape to a modern mat. There is extensive edge chipping and small losses of emulsion at the periphery of the image. This is not visible when the print is viewed in its present mat. Visible upon close examination are several small creases throughout the image, some of which appear to break the emulsion. Also visible are tiny impressions and 2 small jagged scratches that break the emulsion in the upper central portion of the image. None of these disturbances detracts from the overall attractive appearance of this print and are not visible when viewing the print at a normal distance.
On the reverse of the mount, '23' has been written twice in an unidentified hand in pencil and in red crayon.
