Catalogue Note

Similar to the famous Black and White Nude series, Hajek-Halke made a group of experimental photographs which he called Friedhof der Fische [Graveyard of fish]: still lifes of fishbones arranged on sandy ground and mirrored, differing in composition, contrast and degree of abstraction. The print offered here is the only solarised image in this series.
