'Hog Ranch (March 19-20, 1992) - This unique large-format Polaroid print is in generally excellent condition. The colors are rich and saturated, with no apparent fading. In the lower portion of the image, a tiny piece of green metal is affixed to the print's surface. The print is unevenly trimmed in the lower margin and there are small tack holes in the margin in the corners of the the print, as is typical of large-format Polaroid prints. The notation 'PC 003' is in pencil in the lower print margin. Iman - This unique large-format Polaroid print is in generally excellent condition. The colors are rich and saturated, with no apparent fading. The print is unevenly trimmed in the lower margin. The corners of the print are rippled. In raking light, there is a slight wave horizontally across the middle of the print. Also visible in raking light is a small handling crease in the right middle of the portion of the image and a few fingerprints along the right edge of the print.

Iman was was one of Peter Beard's earliest subjects when he began making large-format Polacolor prints in 1985.  In 1986, Beard began his collaboration with Polaroid Corporation's Artists Support Program, which he continued into 1987 and then again during 1992-93. Nine large-format Polaroids from this collaboration were added to the Polaroid Collection, of which 8 are present in this sale (see lots 107, 115, and 116).
