  • Calvary
  • ivory and ebony, with associated bronze feet

Condition

There are several small losses to the ivory including to the edges of the titulus, Christ's fingers, the cheekbone of the skull, and the thumb on the proper right hand of John. The ivory cross terminals have also been lost. The ebony was carved in sections; the joint between the cross and the base is slightly loose and the bases of the figures are detachable. There are a few minor losses includding the skeletons proper left foot and jaw and a chip on the lower left. Otherwise the condition of the group is stable.
