Description

  • memento mori skull
  • white marble

Condition

Overall the condition of the marble is good. There is some wear and dirt to the surface consistent with age. The proper right cheekbone is partially lost; there are traces of adhesive of an old restoration. There is a chip insdie the proper left jaw to the cranium at the underside. There is a band of shallow losses to the marble across the head, possibly due to naturally occurring inclusions. There are a few minor chips along the edges, including at the nose.
