Overall the condition of the ivory is good. There is some wear and dirt to the surface consistent with age. There are some naturally occurring fissures, some of which, including at the underside of the back of the head in the proper right socket and to the proper right cheeck bone, have been filled. There are a few further, stable fissures to the underside. There are two small circular inserts under the proper right cheeckbone.
