Description

  • pendant with the Nativity
  • agate cameo set in an enamelled gold pendant set with table-cut spinels, glass paste and a pearl 

the angels holding an indistinctly inscribed titulus; with an enamelled bird under an ornamental canopy to the reverse

Condition

The cameo is in good condition with some minor dirt to the surface, particularly in the crevices. The hanging pearl may be replaced. There have been some losses to the enamel on the reverse of the frame and some losses to the enamel on the finials behind the gems. The cameo is in wearable condition.
