Description
- The Resurrection
- gilt and polychromed wood
Provenance
Formerly Lord Norton, Fillongley Hall, Meriden, Warwickshire
Condition
Overall the condition of the wood is good. There is wear to the painted surface consistent with age. There is worming throughout, and one of the corners of the reverse has largely been lost due to this. The knobs attached to the sides are probably modern replacements. The right side has been carved separately. There are losses to the thumb and index finger of the proper left hand and several other fingers have been reattached.
