Condition

STRUCTURE The canvas has been lined. PAINT SURFACE The painting appears to be in very good condition. There are no visible retouchings or areas of paint loss. ULTRAVIOLET Examination under ultraviolet light reveals strengthening to the jockey's coat, as well as scattered minor retouching in the sky, and especially along the upper edge of the canvas. FRAME Held in a Neo-Classical style frame.
