Condition

STRUCTURE The picture appears to be unlined but has been restretched. PAINT SURFACE The painting appears to be in good condition. There is some very faintly visible infilling to craquelure in the sky but otherwise there is no visible retouching and no loss of paint. ULTRAVIOLET Examination under ultraviolet light reveals infilling to craquelure overall as well as scattered areas of retouching to minor paint loss. FRAME Held in a gilded Neo-Classical style frame.
