Condition

The supports consists of two vertical flat stable panels which have been joined to the reverse. The paint surface is secure and clean. The two slightly brown areas in the foreground visible in the catalogue illustration appear to be figures which the artist intended to include and then changed his mind and painted over them, or figures which were originally painted but later removed. They do not fluoresce under UV light as other minor scattered retouchings do. Offered in a gilt wood and plaster frame in fair condition.
