Condition

The actual painting is a little softer in tone than the catalogue illustration suggests. The copper plate is in good condition. No damages are apparent. The paint surface appears to be nicely preserved with a lot of detail still intact. Some minor retouching can be made out in the sky with the naked eye, as well as some minor retouched losses in the trees upper left. The paint surface is under a slightly dirty varnish. Inspection under UV light reveals a few tiny scattered retouchings in some of the putti. Offered in a decorative carved gilt wood frame with some very minor losses.
