Condition
Sold in wood and decorated gilded frame. An area of light foxing at the lower left corner and some very tiny, light fox marks elsewhere. The drawing has possibly been cleaned, but looks to be in very good condition and makes a good impression.

Catalogue Note
This is the preparatory drawing for Autumn, from a series of four depictions of the seasons, engraved by Pieter de Jode, after designs by De Vos.1 The drawing for Summer from the same series was formerly in the Dhikéos Collection.2 De Vos was one of the most prolific and influential of all Netherlandish print designers of the late 16th Century.
