Catalogue Note
This view of Enna (known as Castrogiovanni until 1920) was engraved by du Parc for the Abbé de Saint-Non's Voyage Pittoresque ou Description des Royaumes de Naples et de Sicile. The five volumes were published between 1781 and 1786, with an accompanying text by Vivant-Denon and engravings by Châtelet and other artists, including Saint-Non himself, Robert, Fragonard, Desprez and Houel.
