Condition

There is some evidence of minor fading to the pigments of this watercolour. The sheet has discoloured slightly and there is a brown line located at the extreme edges of the sheet. The sheet has been laid down onto a backboard. Catalogue Note

Hulne Park forms part of the Duke of Northumberland's estate at Alnwick Castle. The Brizlee Tower, which can be seen on the top of the hill, was designed in 1777 as a Gothic folly by Robert Adam.
