Condition

In fairly good condition. The canvas is not lined. Two parallel, V-shaped repairs at upper right, the lower of the two extending into the figure's hair. A 1/2 inch horizontal tear by the oar at left center. A repair to the figure's left shoulder. A few spots of strengthening at bottom center. Craquelure throughout. UV: Large area of inpainting to address above mentioned repairs. Spots on the left shoulder, edge of the oar, shirt and jacket. On the chin, edge of nose, upper lip, eyes and eyebrows, various spots in the hair.
