Condition

Both painting and canvas are in good condition with the latter being clear and taut. Examination under UV light reveals some minor spots of retouching, specifically on the upper register (edge, skies, one spot in the center of the mountain), which are visible only under UV. There is a small spot of paint loss on the left register (border between terrace and foot of the mountain). A minor circular-patterned craquelure is present in the middle of the painting (middle of mountain). Paint layers are well-preserved otherwise and are in stable condition. The colours of the actual painting are slightly darker than those in the catalogue illustration, which appears to be slightly washed out.

Catalogue Note

By knowing the vibration of a brush-stroke in a painting you will see the characters of the maker... the lines on a flower are the brush-strokes too of a maker... Artistic in its greatness, truthful in its simplicity. Free and boundless without excesses aiming to a future for an unknown goal. These lines are different from each other... They are literally the lines of a living great artist...

This is God what I see in the lines of Nature. I don't believe only, I know this existence. Believing only is not enough. You have to know Him positively by going through his power. His existence is not a story. It is Reality.
